I WANT TO QUIT OFTEN!
Exercise at the best of times is hard, even when you have boosts of motivation and enjoy and love it.
Life can get busy and demanding of time and it is so easy to quit on you workout today – right? Wrong!
However, transforming eating habits, exercise and lifestyle habits is hard and challenging – always. And you really have to want to hit the goal you want.
Sometimes you’ll have no motivation and all you’ll want to do is stay home in your pj’s and eat pizza and watch your favourite Star Wars Movie or something.
We all have days when we drop of the Fit wagon.
Yet remember what Rocky say’s “
I WANT TO QUIT TODAY, IN FACT I WANT TO QUIT EVERY DAY, EVERY WEEK AND EVERY MONTH.
This is a message for all of you out there who are having an “I want to quit today.”
Everyone has bad days
Everyone around you appears to be moving forward or progressing….YET NOT YOU!
Yep it’s everywhere, facebook, Instagram, twitter, pin interest, magazines, people looking good, all tanned, lifting heavy, looking thin, looking all muscle, great awesome transformation everywhere, yet not me!!!!!!!
Not Yet! But You will!
Yep, you have had a binge day on pizza, burgers, beer and wine day because it makes you feel good 😊(for a very short moment)
And yes there are days when you stand on the scales and get upset when the body fat has not gone down as much as you want it to. (Get rid of those scales is the best thing we can say here – bin them right now and let your coach do all the measurements with supportive advise for you)
The real truth is you will have good days and bad days on your health and fitness journey. Aand you really do have to embrace every single part of this – the good, the bad and the ugly.
This is reality right here
You will be happy one week and emotional ready to quit the next.
You’ll have days when you absolutely smash a training session, and days when you’ll struggle to get anywhere near your last personal best session.
There’ll be days when you’ll crave a sneaky chocolate bar, a beer or glass of vino after work – and some days you will pop all the bad stuff in the bin.
There will be days your alarm clock at 5am has snoozed enough you just smash it to bits. And other times you up and ready for action without it. That traffic jam at 5.30pm to prevent you getting to training and you just wish to turn back and go straight home and eat ☹
We have all been here and will go here again at some point, let me tell you.
It is part of the journey and will be ongoing. You just get fitter, stronger and better at it all and play the game with your mind and emotions.
Just because you have a few bad days or weeks, DOES NOT MEAN YOU QUIT.
The best action to do right now is to review all the great progress. Look at all benefits and achievements you have attained so far and enjoy those moments.
CELEBRATE PROGRESS – THIS IS WHERE THE MAGIC HAPPENS.
It’s not a race and it’s a lifestyle change – mentally, emotionally and physically for the greater good, for you and everyone you friends with.
Tomorrow is a brand new success day and you are back on it. – PROJECT YOU! Back in the game to smash down those walls and create new ones for you to breakthrough.
Get chatting to your coach, share your thoughts and get creating your plan to get you going again over the next 4 – 6 weeks.
